Utilizing 3D printing as a "force multiplier" for artistic concepts. 

 Class Task: Trompe L'Oeil

Approach: Devised lighting system to further express the statement of this "Trompe L'Oeil" Painting. Class requirement I wanted to utilize Classical Techniques with Tech. which maybe I should have put more effort into the point of a Trompe L'Oeil. Viewers discretion :)

Statement: Utilizing his Sea Trunk I replicated texture & likeness with paint. The internal light was to to show the light that once was from this man & his life. A simple window to the past showing his store.

Personal touch: Believe Tech/Classical expression can complement each other when done right. No fear of evolving progression... the Old/New used as an element of contrast. 

Internals: Nail from original store front flooring was utilized for locking mechanism.Magnet is used to retract nail from locked placement. Back Panel is then able to open.
Solar Powered Battery activated by Coin in front. Spring was added to a simple bolt to press the mini power bank on .
Front Latch: Made from copper penny

3D Printed: Internal Brackets/ Resin Grenade made from Poly Jet Mold.
